Birth Certificate with Apostille from the Supreme Court of Seychelles

We obtain a newly issued, original Seychelles Birth Certificate directly from the Civil Status Office of Seychelles. The certificate carries the official government stamps, and we then take it to the Supreme Court of Seychelles, where the Hague Apostille is affixed to it.

You receive the finished certificate as a PDF by e-mail on the day it is issued. If you need the paper original, we can send it by DHL Worldwide Express for an additional fee.

Processing takes approximately 4 to 6 business days. Optional DHL delivery adds roughly 2 to 5 business days.

You can send us the copy by e-mail or WhatsApp, before or after placing your order. A photograph taken with your phone is enough, as long as all four corners are visible and the text can be read. Nothing else is required from you.

What is a Hague Apostille?

An apostille confirms to a foreign authority that the signature and the seal on a public document are genuine. Seychelles is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, so a document carrying an apostille is accepted in the other member states without any further legalisation.

Who issues birth certificates in Seychelles?

Birth certificates in Seychelles are issued by the Civil Status Office, which is part of the Department of Immigration and Civil Status. The Hague Apostille is issued by the Supreme Court of Seychelles.

Notes and tips

• A birth registered many decades ago may sit in the archive, and the office then needs a few days longer.
• Apostilled birth certificates are usually required for dual citizenship, marriage abroad, school enrolment and immigration files.
